HOW DO I TAKE THE BIRD PHOTOS

Here is the picture I took some years ago

I will tell you the idea behind this photograph.

If you take a simple click in which you just have this bird and some of the ground then it will be fine to focus on the bird only and the main subject will be bird. But as you can see we have advantage of the reflection of the water. This image is telling more about the nature all over. So now i have bird, water and the reflection and getting upside down image of the bird which makes it more attractive and eye catching. This is the simple tip apply this with your skill and make your own ideas. more of the images on my IG –

TIPS :

  • While doing the bird photography you want to have a telephoto lens which gives you a long range to capture the photo without disturbing the birds. i took this with 200 mm. But it mush be above 250 mm.
  • Do not wear dark and contrast colored clothing. this gets there attention easily and you don’t want that.
  • keep your shutter high. Usually in the afternoon you can keep it between 1/1000 to 1/1500, keep aperture wide so that you’ll get a smoother background and ISO should be minimum as required, it reduces the noise/grains in your image.
  • keep your shot at high speed photography so you will capture more images in less time and then you can select the best of them.

KEY RULES FOR CAPTURING PICTURES

  1. RULE OF THIRD

So the RULE OF THIRD is – in one third part of your image, one of the important subject is captured or vice versa or try to keep your main subject at the four intersecting points as shown in the dog’s picture. It gives more balance to picture and is well focused.

2. FIBONACCI SPIRAL

THIS says that keep your focus on the main subject of the image ( Sharp eye is the main focus for any close up portrait or headshots ). Hence while you edit your photo try this spiral to get beautiful portrait. This feature is available in editing softwares and applications

fibonacci is widely used for balance as it is a natural rule.

TIPS

  • Try to keep subject in the middle if it is required.
  • If your subject is at the left then make sure image flow is from left to right and vice versa.
  • Try to avoid distractions which gets your attention off of your image.

Want to learn photography?

As per my observation there are two kind of photography.

  1. mobile photography
  2. DSLR photography

I want to share my journey of learning the photography. I used my mobile phone and started to take pictures of nature ( insect, birds, trees etc) but i wanted more so i decided to buy a DSLR. It was pretty difficult for me to buy one so firstly i just learnt all the basics on the youtube from how to hold the camera to how to do bird photography (quite difficult). Now i know all the things and just wanted to hit the road and i got the camera after much trouble.

Talking about this model, this is entry level camera after d3300 model. Good image capturing quality, 24.1 mega pixel and folding screen. Its price is 30,000-36,000 rupees and comes with 2 lens 18-50mm and 18-200mm. This is worth money.

HOW TO KNOW THAT WHAT TO BUY?

BEFORE buying the camera search about it on google or see reviews on youtube and google sites. According to your budget you will come to know which one is suitable for you to grab. Don’t rush to buy. If you like to capture portraits then don’t buy the lens which comes with the camera. Instead you can buy a 50 mm prime lens which has wide aperture range(for more depth of field or more blurry background)

HOW TO LEARN ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY

NOW every information is on the tip of the hand within a sec. Use youtube for better understanding. Some of the channels are very useful and easy to understand and try it by yourself. practice the things you learn and then you are good to go !!!
